I got so busy I forgot I have a blog. Here is a picture I took at the Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights. It's a Taiwanese Buddhist Temple built in a traditional style. It's amazing to see it plopped down on top of the hill at the top of Hacienda Blvd. We drove past Melanie's Mom's street, and Tom remembered a lot of things about growing up there.
Tom saw a hawk carrying someone in it's claws. Crows were mobbing it, but it didn't seem to care. He wanted a quiet place to eat his lunch.
It was fun to see the same kind of church ladies you see at any church. Some things are universal. They were arranging flowers in the vases, manning the info tables and hoping to sell you things. You can get a cup of tea there, but we didn't this time. It was a really lovely day.
